SLCC's Canvas administrators can change a user name as long as they can verify that the request is coming from that user. There are two ways to request a name change in Canvas:

  • Option 1: Log into Canvas and submit a help ticket, which will be routed to SLCC's Canvas administrators.  
  • Option 2: Email a request from your BruinMail account to SLCC's Canvas administrators (eLearningSupport@slcc.edu).
In the request, provide additional proof of identification such as the student's MySLCC name (e.g. adcock from adcock@bruinmail.slcc.edu).
