You can use Commons to search for and import content into your Canvas courses. You can also share resources to Commons from your Canvas courses. To access these materials, click the link to Commons, found in the lower portion of the global navigation menu.
Note that the first time you click Commons it will ask you to authorize the tool.
Click authorize and proceed to the next screen.
On the next screen you will be able to find all types of resources shared to Commons. To find General Education resources specific to SLCC, you will need to use the search field at the top.
Input “slcc gen ed” into the search field, and press enter.
This will take you to the eight Explaining Gen Ed. modules.
The letters at the top of the modules indicates the general education designation that is associated with the materials. Click on the name of the module to proceed to those materials.
From this screen you can preview materials, import them into your course, or view extra details about these materials.
