Class for Zoom Webinars

All Class for Zoom webinars are taught by trainers at Class. Click “register” below to register directly with Class. In the registration form, select your preferred session from the Select date and time field.  

  • Class for Zoom 101 sessions (60 minutes) are available on most Mondays (register)
  • Class for Zoom 102 sessions (30 minutes) are available on most Tuesdays (register)

Canvas Blueprint Basics

Blueprint is a tool in Canvas that allows you to push course updates out to live sections with just a couple of clicks. This hands-on training is designed to help you understand how to request a Blueprint course and use it to quickly update multiple non-crosslisted sections. In this session you will learn how to:
  • Request a Blueprint course
  • Sync your Blueprint course with your live sections
  • View the sync history
  • Implement best practices when using a Blueprint course

This course teaches the key features of Canvas. The course is self-paced, so you can complete this course as quickly you’d like. There are no on-campus meetings for this course. The course is taught asynchronously and fully online so you can experience what it’s like to be an online student. Adjunct faculty are compensated 12 hours for this course. 5. Online Teacher Credential Course

Session: Monday, 6/3/24 to Monday 7/22/24

Last Day to Register: Tuesday, 5/28/24

This course is required for all faculty who want to teach fully online courses at SLCC. There are no on-campus meetings for this course. The course is taught asynchronously and in a fully online cohort so you can experience what it’s like to be an online student and learn research-based best practices and expectations of being an online instructor at SLCC. The course runs for six weeks, with assignments due each week. Adjunct faculty are compensated 16 hours for this course. For more information, see FAQs about SLCC's Online Teacher Credential.

6. Livestream Teacher Credential Course

Session: Monday, 6/17/24 to Monday, 7/22/24

Last Day to Register: Tuesday, 6/11/24

This course is required for faculty who want to teach livestream courses at SLCC. There are no on-campus meetings for this course. The course is taught in a fully-online cohort that is both synchronous (live-streamed) and asynchronous so the participants can experience what it’s like to be a livestream student and learn research-based best practices and expectations of being an livestream instructor at SLCC. The course runs for five weeks, with assignments due each week. Adjunct faculty are compensated 12 hours for this course. 

PREREQUISITES: Before registering, you MUST already have competency in Canvas and Zoom, and you MUST have already completed the Online Teacher Credential course. For more information about the course, see FAQs about SLCC's Livestream Teacher Credential.

7. LockDown Browser and Respondus Monitor: Protect the Integrity of Online Tests (webinar)

This comprehensive training webinar is intended for instructors who plan to use LockDown Browser and/or Respondus Monitor with online exams.
