What is Simple Syllabus?
Simple Syllabus is where all course
syllabuses at SLCC can be found. You can
navigate Simple Syllabus to find syllabuses
for courses that you have enrolled in.
Additionally, through the Simple Syllabus
Library you can view the syllabus for courses
that you are interested in taking.

How do I use Simple Syllabus?
There are two ways to access Simple Syllabus.
When you have access to Canvas you will find a
link in your courses that will take you to the
syllabus as well as to your dashboard, where
other syllabuses can be found. However, if you
have not yet been given access to a Canvas
course, you can log into your dashboard
directly.

Dashboard
You can also access Simple
Syllabus by logging in directly to https://slcc.simplesyllabus.com/.
This will take you through the Single Sign-On
process with two step verification.
Note: If you have any
problems logging into SLCC services through
the Single Sign-On, reach out to the Help Desk
by emailing help.desk@slcc.edu or
by calling 801-957-5555.
Accessing the Simple Syllabus
through Canvas
Once you have access to your
Canvas course, this will be the quickest
way to access Simple Syllabus. Navigate to
your section, find Simple Syllabus in the
course navigation, and click the link. At
that point the syllabus for that section
will load in Canvas and you can start to
enter information.
Important
Please note that Simple Syllabus
will not work in Safari or outdated browsers.
Be sure you are using a browser such as Chrome
and that it is updated to the latest
version.
Simple Syllabus Library
When syllabuses have been created
they go into the Simple Syllabus Library,
which can be viewed at any time. The Simple
Syllabus Library allows you to navigate by
school and subject to view course objectives
and descriptions from available syllabuses to
help you choose the right course for your own
educational journey.
Simple Syllabus Library through the
Dashboard
If you do not have access to a
Canvas course yet, you can find the Simple
Syllabus Library through your dashboard.
First, log into your dashboard using the steps
outlined above. After that, click the Simple
Syllabus Library icon (shown below) and you
will see the library interface. From there you
can navigate by school and subject to view the
syllabuses.

You can navigate to the Simple
Syllabus Library through Canvas by opening
your course syllabus and clicking View your
other course syllabi.
Then click All Courses.
From there you can access syllabuses
by searching through school and then
subject.
How do I get help?
If you encounter any problems with
Simple Syllabus there is help available.
First, reach out to your instructor and let
them know the type of error you are receiving,
any error codes displayed, and a screenshot of
the problem.
Alternatively, if you are in your
Simple Syllabus dashboard, there is a button
that you can use to connect with Simple
Syllabus tech support. It is in the bottom
left corner of your screen.
Note: This option does not
exist when accessing Simple Syllabus through
Canvas

help. Include a description of the type of
error you are receiving, any error codes
displayed, and a screenshot of the problem.
